Nataru Holidays Over, Komdigi Says Traffic Spike is Under Control
JAKARTA - Communication and Digital Minister Meutya Hafid stated that the quality of national telecommunications services is in a stable and safe condition throughout the Christmas 2025 and New Year 2026 holiday period.
In conjunction with the end of this long holiday period, Komdigi also officially closed the Joint Post for Monitoring the Quality of Telecommunications Services, which has been operating since December 19, 2025 to January 4, 2026.
"From December 19 to January 4, the quality of our services is reported to be quite maintained, stable, and safe," Meutya Hafid said in an official statement on Monday, December 5.
The monitoring of this network is carried out through 35 posts of the Technical Implementation Unit of the Radio Frequency Spectrum Monitoring Center of Kemkomdigi and 255 posts with mobile operators throughout Indonesia.
Based on the results of measurements in 104 regencies and cities in 35 provinces, Komdigi recorded the average national internet speed at 80.58 Mbps for download and 35.36 Mbps for upload.
However, Meutya emphasized that service monitoring did not stop even though the Nataru Post was closed. Komdigi together with operators will continue to maintain network quality and prepare for traffic spikes during the upcoming Lebaran holidays.
"This is a material for evaluation so that public services in the future are more ready, including during the Lebaran holiday," he concluded.
