Indonesia's Trade Balance in November 2025 Recorded a Surplus of US $2.66 Billion

JAKARTA - The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) reported that Indonesia's trade balance again recorded a surplus of 2.66 billion US dollars in November 2025.

Thus, Indonesia has recorded a surplus for 67 consecutive months.

BPS Deputy for Distribution and Services Statistics Pudji Ismartini said that the goods trade balance in November 2025 still recorded a surplus of US$ 2.66 billion.

"In November 2025, the trade balance of goods recorded a surplus of 2.66 billion US dollars. Indonesia's trade balance has recorded a surplus for 67 consecutive months since May 2020," he said in a press conference, Monday, January 5.

He explained that the surplus in November 2025 mainly came from non-oil and gas commodities which reached 4.64 billion US dollars.

According to him, the largest commodity contributing to the surplus is animal or vegetable fats and oils or HS 15, iron and steel or HS 72 and nickel and goods thereof or HS 75.

"At the same time, the trade balance of oil and gas commodities recorded a deficit of 1.98 billion US dollars with the commodity contributing to the deficit being crude oil and oil products," he said.

Furthermore, he revealed that cumulatively, Indonesia's trade balance in January-November 2025 recorded a surplus of 38.54 billion US dollars.

"This surplus from January to November 2025 is supported by a non-oil and gas commodity surplus of 56.15 billion US dollars. Meanwhile, oil and gas commodities are still in deficit of 17.61 billion US dollars," he said.
