Ask Grok to Create Sexual Content, Elon Musk Warns Users of Legal Consequences
JAKARTA - Elon Musk stated that people who ask Grok AI to produce sexual deepfake content will bear the same consequences as if they uploaded illegal content.
"Anyone who uses Grok to create illegal content will bear the same consequences as if they uploaded illegal content," Musk said in a tweet on X.
Musk made the statement while responding to a post from the DogeDesigner (cb_doge) account, who expressed his view that blaming Grok for inappropriate content was like blaming a pen for bad writing.
According to him, the tool does not have a will, but only carries out the user data commands.

The debate about responsibility for content generated by artificial intelligence (Al) has emerged after many accusations that Grok AI in X, produces images that are considered indecent.
Several countries in the world have even taken steps forward to investigate Grok AI which was misused to produce sexual content on the X platform.
First, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), has sent a warning letter to Elon Musk's social media platform regarding the proliferation of pornographic content produced by Grok AI.
The ministry emphasized that X had violated the rules of the Information Technology Law of 2000 and the IT Regulation of 2021, which regulate the responsibility of digital platforms in preventing the circulation of illegal and indecent content.
Meanwhile, French authorities are also reported to be investigating X, for a similar case. French lawmakers, Arthur Delaporte and Eric Bothorel, have even contacted the prosecutor's office to crack down on this.
In their statement directly to local media Politico, the two lawmakers stated that X could be sentenced to two years in prison and a fine of 60,000 euros or around Rp1.17 billion.
After that, followed by Malaysia. In the investigation conducted, the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) determined that Grok was proven to have manipulated images digitally on X.
Currently, MCMC is investigating how much impact the image editing feature has. MCMC explained that this case is part of a violation of Article 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 (UU PPK).
If found to be in violation of the law, X will be forced to comply with the local government's decision.
