Poco X8 Pro Bags Additional Certifications, Launch Nearing
JAKARTA - The Poco X8 Pro smartphone is getting closer to its official launch after getting certified in a number of countries. This device has recently been certified by SDPPI in Indonesia, adding to the list of permits previously obtained from the European EEC, BIS India, and SGS.
Based on SDPPI certification data, a Poco mobile phone with model number 2511FPC34G has received approval from Indonesian authorities. As usual, the certification document does not reveal the final specifications or marketing name of the device.
However, many parties believe that the phone is the Poco X8 Pro. This speculation is strengthened because the device is suspected to be a rebranding version of the Redmi Turbo 5 which will be launched in China in the near future. The Redmi Turbo 5 itself is rumored to have a model number of 2511FRT34C.
This rebranding strategy is not new for Poco. Previously, Poco X7 Pro was known as the global version of Redmi Turbo 4 for the Chinese market. With the same pattern, Poco X8 Pro is believed to be present as Redmi Turbo 5 with a different name for the international market.
Poco X8 Pro Specification Leaks
Based on rumors circulating, the Poco X8 Pro will be equipped with an LTPS OLED screen with a resolution of 1,5K. In terms of performance, this phone is said to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 chipset.
For power, the Poco X8 Pro is expected to carry a large 6,500 mAh battery with fast charging support up to 100 watts. Meanwhile, on the software side, this phone is rumored to run Android 16 with the HyperOS 3 interface.
Poco X8 Series Rumors
In addition to the Poco X8 Pro, other reports say that Poco is likely not to release a standard Poco X8 variant this year. Instead, the company is said to be preparing the Poco X8 Pro Max, which is believed to be a rebranding version of the Redmi Turbo 5 Pro.
