Polda Aceh Optimizes the Provision of Clean Water for Disaster Victims

JAKARTA - The Aceh Police are optimizing the provision of clean water for flood disaster victims by building boreholes in several strategic points in Aceh Tamiang Regency.

Head of Public Relations of the Aceh Police, Kombes Pol Joko Krisdiyanto in Banda Aceh, Saturday, said the construction of the boreholes involved personnel from the Aceh Police, Aceh Tamiang Police, and Polri personnel under the control of operations (BKO).

"The construction of this borewell is to optimize the provision of clean water. This humanitarian activity is a form of service to the community that is experiencing difficulties in clean water due to natural disasters," he said.

The middle-ranking officer of the Aceh Police said the drilling wells were made in several strategic points, including at the Paya Meta Village post in Karang Baru District, Aceh Tamiang Regency.

The following are in the disaster areas in Sriwijaya Village and Kota Lintang Village, Kuala Simpang District. A bore hole was also built at SD Negeri Sungai Liput, Kejuruan Muda District.

Then, in Dusun Bahagia, Bundar Village, Karang Baru District, SD Negeri 1 Sungai Liput, Dusun Pekan, Sungai Liput Village, Kejuruan Muda District, Antarbiatul Ilmi Mosque, Desa Masjid Senebuk Dalam, Bendahara District.

As well as Dayah Ulumuddin Matang Ara Village, Java District, Manyak Payed, SD Negeri Pahlawan Village, Pahlawan District, Karang Baru, SMP Negeri 5 Manyak Payed District, Manyak Payed, and Musholla Al-Hidayah Sasar Village, Kuala Simpang District, Aceh Tamiang Regency.

The construction of this bore hole, he said, is a tangible manifestation of the presence of the National Police in serving, protecting, and assisting the community, especially in meeting the basic needs of clean water for daily needs.

"We hope that with the existence of this drilling well, people affected by natural disasters can regain access to clean water that is fit for consumption in meeting daily needs," said Joko Krisdiyanto.
