JAKARTA - Perum Damri said that the occupancy rate or occupancy rate of Damri bus intercity routes during the New Year's holiday return reached 81 percent.
Vice President of Corporate Secretary of Perum Damri Chrystian RM Pohan in his statement, quoted by Antara, Saturday, January 3, said according to operational data as of January 2, 2026, out of a total of 18 branches operating intercity routes (AKAP), occupancy reached 81 percent nationally.
The latest figure indicates the high public interest in using DAMRI during the long Christmas and New Year holidays.
Several regions with the highest occupancy rates include Surabaya, Malang, Lampung, Jakarta and Yogyakarta. In addition, Denpasar and Banjarmasin are also favorite destinations during this long holiday.
According to him, the high mobility in the corridor is in line with the trend of people returning after the New Year's holiday and it is projected that this movement trend will continue in the next few days.
