Semarang Airport Serves 2.3 Million Passengers by 2025
SEMARANG - PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia Ahmad Yani Semarang Airport recorded 2,365,513 passengers flying to and from the airport in the Central Java capital throughout 2025.
General Manager of PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia Ahmad Yani Semarang Airport Sulistyo Yulianto said that the number increased by about 5 percent compared to the same period last year which reached 2,261,934 passengers.
The number of passengers, he continued, was served by 20,425 flights.
"The movement of aircraft flying at Semarang Airport has increased by about 11 percent compared to 2024," he said.
He said the route of the plane from Semarang to Jakarta and vice versa dominated flights at Semarang Airport throughout 2025.
In addition, he said, in 2025 a number of new flight routes will be opened, including international flights to Malaysia and Singapore.
"There are several new flight routes, both domestic and international. This shows that Semarang has potential as a destination," he said.
He hopes that in 2026 there will be more airlines that open routes to and from Semarang.
Meanwhile, at the end of the year, Batik Air's Semarang-Jakarta aircraft will be the last aircraft to fly from Semarang airport in 2025.
Meanwhile, the Lion Air plane to Banjarmasin-Semarang became the first plane to land at the Semarang Airport in 2026.
