Antisipasi Arus Balik Tahun Baru, Jasamarga Tambah Gardu di GT Cikampek Utama

JAKARTA - PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) has added a transaction booth service at the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate, especially for vehicles heading to Jakarta. This step was taken as an anticipation of the increasing traffic volume during the New Year's holiday.

Vice President Corporate Secretary and Legal PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Ria Marlinda Paallo, said that the increase in vehicle traffic on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road had begun to be seen since Friday afternoon. Based on monitoring, the traffic surge began to occur around 14.00 WIB.

During this period, the volume of vehicles passing through was quite high, namely around 2,000 vehicles per hour. To maintain the flow of traffic and minimize queues at the toll gate, JTT then adjusted operations starting at 15.30 WIB.

In this arrangement, JTT operates a total of 18 transaction substations towards Jakarta and 12 transaction substations for vehicles towards Trans Java. This optimization is aimed at ensuring that the transaction process continues to run smoothly as the flow of vehicles increases gradually.

Ria explained that the addition of the substation was part of the company's efforts to provide comfort and security for toll road users during the long holiday period. In addition, this step is also taken to anticipate potential traffic congestion around the toll gate.

JTT appeals to road users to prepare their journey well, including ensuring that the electronic money balance is sufficient before entering the toll gate. Drivers are also asked to comply with traffic signs and follow the instructions of officers in the field for smooth cooperation.

Traffic monitoring, continued Ria, is still being carried out intensively. If necessary, JTT is ready to make additional operational adjustments according to conditions in the field.

Meanwhile, in the H-2 to H-1 New Year's holiday period, namely December 30-31, 2025, JTT recorded 299,454 vehicles crossing the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road to the eastern Trans Java area. This figure shows an increase of 38.17 percent compared to normal traffic which was recorded at 216,725 vehicles.

The data is an accumulation of vehicle traffic passing through six main toll gates in the Trans Java area, including the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate (Trans Java direction), the Kalikangkung Toll Gate (Semarang), the Banyumanik Toll Gate (Solo), the Warugunung Toll Gate (Surabaya), the Kejapanan Utama Toll Gate (Malang), and the Singosari Toll Gate (Malang).

In particular, the volume of vehicles passing through GT Cikampek Utama in the same period was recorded at 69,180 vehicles, an increase of 28.56 percent compared to the normal condition of 53,811 vehicles. Meanwhile, the flow of vehicles from the eastern Trans Java region to Jakarta reached 55,660 vehicles or an increase of 9.06 percent compared to normal traffic which was at 51,038 vehicles.
