One Family Died Allegedly Food Poisoning in a Contracted House, Police Investigate
JAKARTA - A family consisting of 2 women and 1 man was found brutally dead suspected of food poisoning at their rented house in RT 06/10, Warakas Village, Tanjung Priok District, North Jakarta, Friday, January 2, 2026.
Meanwhile, another person was in critical condition and was taken to Koja Hospital for treatment.
"Three people died named Siti Soliha (50), Afiah Al Adilah (27) and Adnan Al Abrar (13)," said Amir, a resident near the location.
Amir said the critical victim was named Abdullah Syaugi (22) and was treated at Koja Hospital.
"He was taken to Koja Hospital who is still alive," he said.
Meanwhile, the North Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit, which received a report of the incident, immediately conducted an investigation at the scene and deployed an identification team.
A total of 3 witnesses were examined at the North Jakarta Police. The three witnesses have initials BD, AW and MK.
Based on BD's statement to the police, he was still able to meet the victim on Thursday night, January 1, 2026 in a healthy condition.
Then from AW's statement, he had heard MK's screams asking for help. Then AW went to the location and saw the victim lying on the floor.
"Not long after, the survivor came out of the bathroom," said AW.
The survivor admitted that he did not know the incident because he was taking a bath when it happened.
For further processing, the three dead victims were then taken to the Polri Hospital for an autopsy.
