Kaspersky: Many People Use AI for Holiday Planning
JAKARTA - Kaspersky has conducted a survey, which is intended to find out how people use artificial intelligence (AI) to fill their free time and simplify holiday preparations.
In this report, in the 2025/2026 holiday season, 74% of respondents stated that they plan to include AI in their holiday activities.
Young generations show the strongest enthusiasm for the use of AI, with 86% of respondents aged 18-34 expressing their intention to use artificial intelligence during the holidays.
According to the survey, more than half of AI users plan to use the tool during the holidays to search for recipes (56%) or restaurants and accommodations (54%), to simplify the research process and reduce time commitments related to searches.
Meanwhile, this survey also revealed that 50% of users seek AI assistance to exchange thoughts on gift ideas, ways to celebrate, or Christmas and New Year decoration tips.
In addition, during the holidays, half of the respondents also consider AI as a shopping assistant, which can help them make a shopping list, find the best deals, or analyze reviews.
Younger generations show a high interest in AI as a budget planner (50%), while older people (55+) are less enthusiastic about letting AI manage their spending (31%), preferring to use it to find recipes (59%) and generate gift ideas (41%).
Modern AI tools allow shoppers on vacation to find deals that match individual preferences and budget constraints with just a few clicks.
