Sarinah replaces the trumpet with prayer: 160 thousand people silence Cipta for Sumatra

JAKARTA - The Sarinah shopping center managed to close 2025 with a different celebration. Through the title Tring! x Festiloka Panggung Nusantara 2026, Sarinah not only became a center of entertainment for Jakarta residents, but also a humanitarian solidarity for disaster victims in Sumatra.

Held in conjunction with Car Free Night, the series of activities at the Sarinah Stage recorded a fantastic visitor figure, reaching 160,000 people throughout the New Year's Eve.

Replace the Countdown Tradition with Interfaith Prayer

Unlike the usual new year celebrations, Sarinah chose to eliminate the countdown tradition. Instead, visitors are invited to enter a moment of silence or a moment of reflection through interreligious prayers.

The prayer was led by six religious leaders (Islam, Protestant Christianity, Catholicism, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Confucianism). This sacred moment is dedicated to praying for victims of natural disasters in Sumatra and other regions of Indonesia.

"In the midst of the joy of the new year, Sarinah chooses to invite the public to stop for a moment, pray, and show concern for our brothers who are affected by disasters," said Raisha Syarfuan, President Director of PT Sarinah.

The real action is shown through a fundraising collaboration between Sarinah, the Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Office, and BAZNAS BAZIS DKI Jakarta.

Until the closing of the event, the total donation that was successfully collected reached Rp3.125.431.673,-. All funds will be channeled through BAZNAS BAZIS DKI Jakarta to help the recovery process of people affected by disasters in Sumatra.

Culture and Entertainment Tiara Andini's Appearance

Despite being full of reflective atmosphere, the entertainment aspect still spoils visitors. The Sarinah stage was enlivened by the stunning performance from:

Tiara Andini (Contemporary Pop) Moluccan Soul (Traditional Music) Jaranan Dance (Kediri, East Java) Burung Enggang Dance (Kenyah Dayak Tribe, East Kalimantan)

Support for MSMEs through Festiloka Kuliner Nusantara

Sarinah also emphasized its commitment to the local economy through Festiloka Kuliner Nusantara. A total of 27 UMKM curated from various regions are present in the Sarinah VIP Parking area from December 23, 2025 to January 4, 2026.

This activity is fully supported by major sponsors such as Pegadaian, Nescafe, and myBCA which also contribute to creating an inclusive and socially impactful end-of-year celebration.

Through Tring! x Festiloka Panggung Nusantara 2026, Sarinah has successfully transformed into a public space that connects art, culture, and empathy in one big stage.
