Complete List of 22 MotoGP Riders 2026

JAKARTA - The list of riders who will compete in the 2026 MotoGP has been officially released. A total of 22 names will compete fiercely on the track, including the defending champion Marc Marquez.

MotoGP 2026 will be held starting March 1, 2026 at the Buriram International Circuit, Thailand. There are a total of 22 series to be held, including Brazil, which has just returned to hosting since 1989.

In last year's competition, Marquez was dominant and managed to lock in the world championship title at the Japanese Grand Prix. He is expected to return to the podium in this year's calendar with the Ducati manufacturer.

The rider nicknamed Baby Alien is still partnered with two-time world champion Francesco Bagnaia. In the last season, the rider, who is familiarly called Pecco, was really unable to give Marquez a fight.

Marquez will start this year's race after recovering from an injury he suffered at the Indonesian Grand Prix in Mandalika. The accident there made him have to go through four races after that because he had to undergo surgery and needed recovery.

This condition could have disturbed Marquez at the beginning of the season when he tried to defend his world champion title. In addition, the resistance from other racers to break Marquez's dominance is also open.

Jorge Martin who defends Aprilia is one of the potential riders who can do it. The rider who is also from Spain retired almost all last season due to injury, but now he seems ready.

In addition, Bagnaia's teammate who has difficulty adapting to the bike in 2025 could be one of the challenges for Marquez. Last season, Bagnaia performed strongly in several races.

Red Bull KTM Factory Racing's young rider Pedro Acosta is also expected to be very dangerous. Another rider who could bury Marquez's ambitions is his own brother, Alex Marquez, who was runner-up last season.
