The platform mentions that on a regular day, WhatsApp handles more than 100 billion messages and around 2 billion calls worldwide. However, the activity during the 24-hour period of New Year exceeded these numbers. With this new addition, this instant messaging app makes the experience even more special.

In addition to the 2026 sticker pack, there are new animated effects available during video calls. The effects include fireworks, confetti, and a star animation that lights up on the phone screen as an overlay.
