During the 5th Century of Jakarta, Pramono is expected to invite German football clubs to compete against Persija

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung revealed that he would invite world football clubs to compete against Persija when Jakarta turns 500 years old in 2027.

Pramono admitted that the plan was motivated by his personal interest in football. The plan to hold sports competitions was conveyed by Pramono in a New Year's Eve celebration in the Bundaran Hotel Indonesia (HI) area, Central Jakarta.

"One of them as a football fan I will invite world football clubs to Jakarta to compete against Persija Jakarta," said Pramono, Wednesday, December 31.

Pramono said that one of the clubs that had expressed its willingness to attend was Hertha Berlin from Germany. In addition, he also conveyed plans to invite a football club from the Netherlands.

"In order to commemorate the 500th anniversary of Jakarta, one of the clubs that has been willing to attend is hertha berlin from Germany. On this occasion, the Dutch Ambassador was also present, we will invite clubs from the Netherlands to attend in Jakarta," said Pramono.

Apart from the agenda of sports and international activities, Pramono touched on Jakarta's development plans in the future. He hopes that the changes that will take place can increase the sense of security and comfort of residents, as well as the use of city facilities.

"Because next year there will be many changes that will take place, hopefully it will benefit us all," said Pramono.

On the same occasion, Pramono also touched on the long journey of Jakarta which will enter its fifth century. He conveyed that the progress of the city is not only measured by physical development and economic growth.
