DKI Jakarta Provincial Government Himpun Rp3.1 Billion for Donations to the Sumatra Disaster

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov) has managed to collect Rp3.1 billion in donations from the community in the series of 2026 New Year's Eve celebrations, which will later be handed over to the affected community in Sumatra.

"This is a contribution from the public of Jakarta, and we express our deepest gratitude for the concern shown," said DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung when attending the New Year's Eve event themed 'Jakarta Global City: From Jakarta with Love' at HI Roundabout, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, December 31 night, quoted by Antara.

On that occasion, his party collaborated with the National Zakat Agency (Baznas). So, this donation can be distributed to the right hands and really need it.

In addition to inviting the public to donate, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will also distribute a portion of the revenue from the sale of Ancol entrance tickets during the New Year's Eve celebration of 10 percent.

"This donation will still be added, through the sale of 10 percent of residents who come to Ancol tonight," he continued.

The celebration of the New Year's Eve 2026 at the HI roundabout was crowded by residents of DKI Jakarta and also its surroundings. This New Year's Eve 2026 reception, DKI Jakarta has a big theme, namely "Jakarta Global City: From Jakarta With Love".

Especially at the Bundaran Hotel Indonesia (HI), the clergy who were present included Ustadz Muhammad Nur Maulana, Habib Husein bin Ja'far Al Hadar, KH Yusuf Aman, Romo Antonius Suyadi Pr, Reverend Arliyanus Larosa, JM Tuwari (Hindu), Erwin Tjoe (Budha) and Js Ruysya Supit (Confucian).

The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov) has also opened donations for victims affected by the disaster. This donation collection is in collaboration with Baznas-Bazis DKI Jakarta.

The excitement is not only centered at HI Roundabout, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has provided various locations that can be visited by Jakarta residents such as at the Banteng Square, Sarinah, BNI Dukuh Atas, Semanggi, Indonesia Stock Exchange, FX Sudirman and HI Roundabout.
