DKI Provincial Government's 2026 New Year's Eve Donation Reaches IDR 3.1 Billion

JAKARTA - Donations that were successfully collected during the 2026 New Year's Eve celebrations at the Bundaran Hotel Indonesia (HI), until 24.00 WIB reached Rp. 3.1 billion. The donation was entirely from public participation.

Previously, at around 23.49 WIB, donations had accumulated as much as three billion five million two hundred and thirty-three thousand eight hundred and twenty-six rupiah. This amount is considered as the public contribution of the people of Jakarta to the victims of the disaster.

It is known that the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov) welcomed the New Year 2026 in a different way than in previous years. Donations and prayers together at the 2026 New Year's Eve celebration at HI Roundabout were held as a form of empathy for the disasters that occurred in Sumatra and a number of other regions in Indonesia.

Ramadhan (32), a visitor to HI Circle on the eve of the new year 2026, admitted that he not only came to enjoy the people's party, but also took the time to donate as a form of concern for victims of disasters in Sumatra and Aceh.

"I donate to victims of disasters in Sumatra as a form of concern for victims there," he said.
