47 Thousand People Visited Ancol until Wednesday night
JAKARTA - PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol management recorded 47,000 people entering the tourist destination area on the north coast of Jakarta until 20.30 WIB.
"Until 20.30 WIB, it was recorded that there were 47 thousand visitors who entered Ancol today," said PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Tbk's Corporate Communication, Daniel Windriatmoko, as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, December 31.
Residents continue to arrive and indeed tonight there are obstacles in the form of rain that occurs in the Ancol area.
"Last night it rained, this afternoon it rained and tonight it rained so we have to be realistic with the target of visits," he said.
His party targets 60 thousand more people who will come tonight. However, due to the rainy weather conditions, it will certainly have an impact on the number of visits.
"We target tonight to reach 60 thousand visitors. Hopefully the rain will start to subside and the activities will run smoothly," he said.
Daniel said the absence of fireworks also had an impact on the number of visits because every New Year's Eve was always decorated with fireworks.
"Tonight is different because we empathize with our brothers and sisters who are affected by disasters in Sumatra," he said.
A total of 400 joint officers guarded the New Year's Eve 2026 in the Ancol area on Wednesday to make the situation conducive, safe and smooth.
"We have mapped out four locations that will be the center of the crowd tonight," said North Jakarta Metro Police Chief AKBP James H Hutajulu in Jakarta, Wednesday.
The fourth point is the Festival Beach which will hold koplo music which will certainly attract visitors to crowd the area.
Second, the Art Market which will be the location where various people gather to welcome the New Year's Eve 2026.
Third, there is Lagoon Beach which will be the center of unmanned aircraft (drone) performances at 00.00 WIB and laser performances that will be crowded by the public.
Finally, Karnaval Beach which will be filled with concerts of a number of well-known music groups such as Dewa 19 and others.
