PA Bandung Says Mediation Atalia Praratya and Ridwan Kamil Failed
BANDUNG - The legal process for the divorce of the iconic couple of West Java, Ridwan Kamil and Atalia Praratya, continues to roll at the Bandung Religious Court (PA). In the trial held today, Wednesday, December 31, 2025, the figure who is familiarly called Bu Cinta was present in person to follow the course of the case.
Atalia's presence was confirmed directly by the Panitera PA Bandung, Dede Supriadi. Atalia was accompanied by his legal team to undergo the main examination agenda of the case.
"Yes, today the trial of Ms. Atalia was present in person and accompanied by his power. The agenda is the examination of the main case," said Dede Supriadi when confirmed through a short message, Wednesday, December 31.
Unlike his wife, Ridwan Kamil was not seen appearing in the courtroom. The former Governor of West Java, who is now active in the national arena, chose to give his legal team full power.
"Mr. RK is not present, only his lawyer," Dede added briefly.
Furthermore, Dede revealed that the household of the couple, who have been known to be very harmonious, was on the verge of collapse after mediation efforts failed.
Although the two parties had previously met in the mediation process facilitated by the court, the mediator's report showed no agreement to reconcile.
"In the mediation, from the mediator's report, Mr. RK and Ms. Atalia were present. But the result, the mediation was not successful," he explained.
Regarding the motive behind this household rift, including the rumors of an affair that had sparked heated discussions on social media throughout 2025, the Bandung PA did not want to comment.
Dede emphasized that the details of their legal problems are a private sphere that cannot be made public.
"If the main issue is privacy, I don't know. I'm sorry," said Dede.
The trial of this divorce case is now entering its final stage. According to the procedure, the next stage will be carried out electronically or e-litigation. Each party is scheduled to deliver the final conclusion before the panel of judges issues a verdict.
"The next agenda is the presentation of the conclusion in e-litigation, scheduled for January 2, 2026," concluded Dede.
