Riot Games' 2XKO Fighting Game Will Be Released on January 20, 2026

JAKARTA - Riot Games announced that its latest free fighting game, 2XKO, will leave Early Access and be fully launched for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC.

The 2XKO game was first launched in Early Access mode for PC via Steam on October 7, 2025, and will be launched globally on January 20, 2026.

2XKO was developed by the studio behind the success of League of Legends and VALORANT. Unlike traditional fighting games, 2XKO carries a two-on-two (2v2) concept that emphasizes teamwork as the key to victory.

In 2XKO, you can control two champions at once solo or play with a friend in duo mode. This mechanism allows for more dynamic strategies, including character switching in the middle of the game.

Riot also introduces the Fuses system, a play style modifier that can change the rules and approach of the team in every match, so that no match feels the same.

A series of iconic League of Legends champions also enliven 2XKO with new movesets inspired by their abilities in the MOBA genre, but redesigned to fit the mechanics of the fighting game.

The fights take place in various arenas that represent the world of Runeterra, complete with modern 2D visuals, smooth animations, and original music that reinforces the atmosphere of the battle.

In terms of features, 2XKO offers a virtual arcade lobby where players can meet duo partners and potential rivals. Riot also provides Ranked, Casual, and Private modes, which allow you to compete seriously, play casually, or just watch matches.
