Google Overhauls the Reading Mode View in Chrome on Android
Google has redesigned the Reading Mode feature in Chrome for Android devices. Through this update, users can now access the mode more easily.
Previously, users had to wait for the activation button to appear next to the address bar. However, now this is no longer necessary because users can access it easily through the three-dot menu in the application.
In addition to the access being made easier, the appearance has also changed. Now, the screen will retain the omnibox in the section so that navigation remains easy, such as directly exiting the mode.
In addition, when the omnibox is pulled, users can access various customization options that are desired according to eye comfort. Users can choose font types ranging from Sans Serif, Serif, to a minimalist Mono format.
Text size can also be enlarged up to 250 percent for those who need extra readability. In addition, there are three background color options, namely bright mode, warm sepia, or dark mode.
All the preferred settings will be saved automatically when the user switches to another web page. This makes the reading experience more seamless without having to set it up from the beginning.
This feature is starting to appear on some Android devices running Chrome version 143. However, Google has not released this update simultaneously to all users around the world.
