Minister of Home Affairs-Director General of Adwil Checks the Progress of the North Aceh Disaster Recovery Bascabencana 

JAKARTA - Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri) Tito Karnavian together with the Director General of Regional Administrative Development, Safrizal Zakaria Ali, checked the progress of post-disaster recovery from floods and landslides in North Aceh Regency.

The Minister of Home Affairs and his team also visited the evacuation post in Gampong Geudumbak, Langkahan District. At this location, the government distributed humanitarian assistance in the form of food and new clothes for residents affected by floods and landslides.

Safrizal also took the time to talk directly to the refugees to provide reinforcement and support. In a warm atmosphere, Safrizal conveyed the government's empathy for the disaster experienced by the community.

"Please be patient and remain steadfast. The government will not abandon the community, we are here to ensure that residents do not face this disaster alone," said Safrizal as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, December 31.

Safrizal also emphasized the government's commitment to ensure that post-disaster recovery is carried out comprehensively. The central government and local governments will continue to synergize in dealing with the impact of disasters and ensure that the basic needs of affected people can be met.

"God willing, the government will continue to make maximum efforts and work together to ensure that people can return to activities safely, decently, and normally," said Safrizal to the refugees.

This visit is expected to provide encouragement for the affected community while strengthening cooperation between the central government, local government, and all related parties in accelerating post-disaster recovery in North Aceh. The government emphasized its commitment to ensure that the recovery process is fast and comprehensive.
