West Jakarta BOP Fund Corruption, PSI Consider Anies Baswedan's Supervision Weak
JAKARTA - Member of the PSI DPRD DKI Faction Anggara Wicitra Sastroamidjojo considers the corruption case of embezzlement of education operational assistance funds (BOP) at SMKN 53 Jakarta due to the weak supervision of DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan.
"This incident shows that DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan still lacks supervision of his subordinates," Anggara told reporters, Friday, May 28.
Because of that, Anggara asked Anies to take a more role in supervising and controlling his subordinates. Make sure this does not happen again anywhere in the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government.
Anggara admitted that Commission E DPRD DKI did not fully supervise the use of BOP funds. Given the large number of schools that reach more than 2,000 schools and limited time, supervision of the use of school operational assistance funds is only carried out by random sampling.
Therefore, Anggara urged the school supervisory board at the district level school to strengthen its functions so that misuse of BOP and BOS funds could be avoided.
"In addition, the Education Office also needs to take a more detailed role in the supervision of BOS funds through the supervisory board, so that schools can use BOS funds wisely," he said.
In addition, Anggara also encouraged each school supervisory board to report regularly to the DKI Jakarta DPRD regarding its activities and results of supervision.
Previously reported, the West Jakarta District Prosecutor's Office (Kejari) raided the West Jakarta Education Sub-dept. And the office of the Principal of SMKN 53. This raid was related to the corruption case of the BOP Fund for the 2018-2019 budget year.
