1 Kg of Methamphetamine Circulation Disrupted in Banjarmasin, 2 Perpetrators Arrested

Banjarmasin - The Banjarmasin Police in South Kalimantan (Kalsel) thwarted the circulation of 1 kilogram (kg) of crystal methamphetamine in more than 10 plastic bags that were secured.

In this operation, the police also secured 47 pieces of ineks type ecstasy and 2 digital scales.

"There are two perpetrators who we have arrested in this case, namely M (43) and FY (34), these two perpetrators were arrested in different places," said Banjarmasin Police Chief Kombes Pol Cuncun Kurniadi in Banjarmasin, Tuesday, quoted by Antara.

Cuncun said the disclosure of this case began when officers secured M and he was arrested while on Jalan P. Antasari or precisely on the edge of the entrance to the Kelayan Luar Village Market, last Saturday.

During the arrest, officers secured two plastic clip packages containing 2.95 grams of methamphetamine.

"We interrogated M and said that he bought the drugs from FY," said Cuncun.

Furthermore, the Police Chief said that officers immediately carried out development and headed to FY's house in Pekapuran Raya Gang Sirih, Pekapuran Raya Village, East Banjarmasin District.

When the raid was carried out, FY was not at home, but officers found 10 plastic bags containing methamphetamine weighing 1,432 grams and 47 ecstasy pills as evidence of narcotics.

From the results of the search and investigation, Cuncun was clear, officers in the field immediately carried out a pursuit of FY.

FY was finally arrested by officers while he was on Jalan Guntung Alaban Gang Nurul Haq Kelurahan Sungai Paring, Martapura District, Banjar Regency on Wednesday night, around 23.12 WITA.

Currently, the two perpetrators and the evidence have been secured at the East Banjarmasin Police for further legal proceedings.

From the results of the preliminary examination, the two suspects were charged with Article 114 Paragraph (2) Junto 112 Paragraph (2) of Law No. 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics.
