Jakut SDA Task Force Sets Geobag at the Dam Point Affected by Rob

JAKARTA - The North Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-Directorate has anticipated the prediction of extreme tides or rob on January 1-4, 2026.

The effort was carried out by the North Jakarta SDA task force by simultaneously filling geobags or sandbags at the Sudin SDA Jakut warehouse, the Satpol warehouse in 6 sub-districts and at the Rorotan TPU.

Later, the geobag or sandbags will be placed as a dike at critical points affected by the rob in the North Jakarta area.

"We have coordinated with several parties that are indicated to be affected by the rob, such as the Nizam Zahman Port, Pelindo Muara Baru, Pelindo Regional 2 Sunda Kelapa, KPKP Office, Taman Impian Jaya Ancol. The coordination was carried out since December 18, 2025," said North Jakarta SDA Deputy Head, Heria Suwandi when confirmed by VOI, Tuesday, December 30.

North Jakarta's SDA said that all ports were potentially affected by the rob, because their derma still lower than the height of the tide or extreme rob.

"We also helped the KPKP Office in the docking area. Then we helped Pelindo Muara Baru with the casting of the embankment discharge," he said.

The North Jakarta Sub-Directorate of Public Works and Housing also assisted Pelindo Regional 2 by placing a car pump at Gate or Gate 1 of the port.

Meanwhile, at Taman Impian Jaya Ancol, continued Heria, the Jakut SDA Sub-Director installed a geobag or sandbag placement at the Marina Pier.

"The placement of 1 unit of mobile pump at the Marina Ancol Pier, the placement of 2 units of mobile pumps in the Putri Duyung Area and the placement of pumps," he said.

Previously reported, anticipating bad weather and Rob during the New Year's Eve celebration in the North Jakarta area, the North Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-Directorate continues to optimize a number of technical equipment and blue force task forces.
