BP BUMN ensures that the Huntara in Aceh Tamiang will be completed tomorrow

JAKARTA - Deputy Head of the State-Owned Enterprise Regulation Agency (BP BUMN) Aminuddin Ma'ruf has ensured that the construction of temporary housing (huntara) for residents affected by floods and landslides in Aceh Tamiang will be completed on Wednesday, December 31, 2025.

The construction of the huntara was carried out by a state-owned company as part of efforts to accelerate post-disaster recovery from floods and landslides that occurred at the end of November 2025.

Aminuddin said that there were 15,000 huntara units that were targeted to be built by BUMN Karya gradually in disaster-affected areas, including North Sumatra, West Sumatra, and Aceh.

"We target 15,000 hunters, which we will build in the next 3 months," said Aminuddin in a coordination meeting with the Post-Disaster Recovery Task Force of the People's Representative Council, which was broadcast on the YouTube of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Tuesday, December 30.

Khusus untuk Aceh Tamiang, sambung Aminuddin, pembangunan huntara melibatkan tujuh BUMN Karya yang dipimpin oleh PT Hutama Karya (Persero). Aminuddin menegaskan, proyek tersebut ditargetkan selesai besok dan siap digunakan masyarakat terdampak.

"That is in Aceh Tamiang, God willing, tomorrow it will be completed, which is supported by seven BUMN Karya, which is led by Hutama Karya," he explained.

In addition to housing, basic infrastructure support is also prepared. The huntara electricity system will be handled by PT PLN (Persero), while the communication network is provided by PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk through its subsidiary, PT Telkomsel.

"And the electricity system is supported by PLN friends, thank God it is ready. And the Telkom network by Telkomsel," said Aminuddin.

Aminuddin ensured that the electricity supply and telecommunications network would be provided free of charge as long as the huntara was occupied by the disaster-affected community.

"As long as there is a huntara there, both the electricity network and the Telkom network are free of charge by PLN friends and by Telkomsel," he said.
