Construction of Temporary Housing in Aceh Tamiang is Being Built 24 Hours Nonstop
JAKARTA - PT Hutama Karya (Persero) or HK has accelerated the construction of temporary housing or huntara in Aceh Tamiang Regency, Aceh Province, as part of the acceleration of post-flood and landslide recovery.
The project was carried out through the collaboration of seven BUMN Karya under Danantara, with a 24-hour shift work pattern and quality supervision was tightened so that the residence could be immediately habitable.
Hutama Karya together with other BUMN Karya focuses on the target of 196 units of Huntara work. HK continues to deploy optimal resources to be able to complete the housing target so that it can be functionalized on Thursday, January 1, 2026.
"The project work is focused on foundation work, roof frame, wall frame, stage floor, as well as doors and windows," said Executive Vice President (EVP) Corporate Secretary of Hutama Karya Mardiansyah quoted from a written statement, Tuesday, December 30.
Until Monday, December 29, 2025, the progress of work focuses on accelerating the work of basic structures and utilities so that the unit is immediately functional. The Huntara is designed with an elongated residential concept with a unit size of 4.5 meters x 4.5 meters.
For information, facilities in the area are also prepared to maintain the basic needs of residents during the temporary stay. In the technical plan of the huntara, shared facilities include a communal kitchen, a washing area, a prayer room and sanitation. Utility support such as electricity and water installations are also part of the preparation of housing to be immediately functional.
Around the huntara area, Hutama Karya is also part of the recovery of infrastructure and rehabilitation of basic needs of affected people.
Among others, deploying a capit excavator to clean the glondongan wood pile in the area of Pesantren Darul Muklisin, Tanjung Karang, Aceh Tamiang, the restoration of clean water facilities through the Rantau IPA Operation which is also located in Aceh Tamiang with a water flow capacity of 40 liters per second which is currently functioning normally again for the first time.
In addition to the huntara work, Hutama Karya continues to direct support for the restoration of access and connectivity at the affected points to help the mobility of residents and the distribution of logistics.
Support includes the deployment of heavy equipment for post-flood material cleaning and rehabilitation of the Lawe Mengkudu Bridge with a span of 36 meters (m) and the Penanggalan Bridge with a span of 48 m in Kutacane Regency, South East Aceh, both of which have been connected to restore walking connectivity.
The operation was carried out with the principle of occupational safety and coordination with local authorities so that the handling is targeted.
