Honda CB500 Super Four Becomes the Spotlight, the Successor to the Legendary CB400SF
JAKARTA - Honda in September showed off the CB500 Super Four at the Chongqing Motor Show (CIMA 2025) in China. The presence of this model immediately became a hot topic among lovers of four-cylinder motorcycles.
Citing the Greatbikers website, Tuesday, December 30, the motorcycle, which is considered as the successor to the legendary CB400 Super Four, which has now stopped production, has attracted the attention of classic-style big bike fans in various Asian countries, including Thailand.
Viewed more closely, the CB500 Super Four comes with a new design but still retains the typical pattern of the previous CB400 Super Four. This motorcycle is wrapped in a distinctive color called "Spencer".
The round-shaped front lamp has adopted LED technology with an updated casing design. In addition, this motorcycle is equipped with a 5-inch full color TFT instrument panel that gives a modern touch.
Talking about the engine, the CB500 Super Four is equipped with a 4-cylinder in-line DOHC engine with a capacity of 502 cc. Although it no longer uses VTEC technology like the previous CB400 Super Four, the engine's character still promises strong performance.
This motorcycle is also equipped with the latest technology, such as the latest generation E-Clutch system which is more compact than that of the CB650R and CBR650R. In addition, there are five driving modes, consisting of Sport, Urban, Rain, and two User modes that can be adjusted.
In terms of comfort and control, the CB500 Super Four uses an upside down front suspension and a rear monoshock with a link system. The braking system is strengthened by a 4-piston radial caliper from Nissin.
The presence of the CB500 Super Four further confirms the trend of the revival of modern retro high-performance motorcycles from Honda.
