South Kalimantan Police Holds Bripda MS's Ethics Trial, Suspect in the Murder of a Student at Lambung Mangkurat
BANJARBARU - The South Kalimantan Police (Kalsel) Professional and Security Division (Bid Propam) held a Police Code of Ethics Commission (KKEP) hearing against Bripda Muhammad Seili (MS), a member of the Banjarbaru Police, a suspect in the murder of a student of Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) with the initials ZD (20) at the Banjarbaru Police.
The KKEP trial against Bripda MS was chaired by AKBP Budi Santoso, Kompol Letjon Simanjorang as deputy chairman of the commission, and Kompol Anna Setiani as a member of the commission.
The Chairman of the AKBP Commission, Budi, together with the Deputy Chairman and members of the commission, investigated the testimony of four witnesses (investigators and colleagues of Bripda MS), and presented the alleged offender (Bripda MS).
The chairman of the panel invited the alleged perpetrators and their companions to investigate the testimony of the witnesses and the alleged perpetrators.
Around 17.50 Wita, Monday, December 29, the KKEP trial finished examining witnesses and suspected violators. The chairman of the panel suspended the trial temporarily before making a decision on the suspected violator, Bripda MS.
The murder took place in Gambut District, Banjar Regency, on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at around 01.30 Wita.
The victim's body was found by sanitation workers in the STIHSA Banjarmasin Campus manhole on the same day at around 07.30 Wita. The victim's body was then taken by officers to Ulin Hospital, Banjarmasin, for an autopsy.
After going through the investigation process and examining witnesses, the escape process of suspect Bripda MS stopped after the police managed to arrest the suspect in Banjarbaru City, in the evening.
