Ahead of the 2026 SPT Reporting, Five Million WP Have Not Activated Coretax
JAKARTA - Director of Extension, Services, and Public Relations of the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) Rosmauli revealed that as of Monday, December 29, 2025, a total of 9,871,709 taxpayers have completed the activation of the Coretax account.
"Update the number of taxpayers who have activated the Coretax account as of December 29, 2025: 9,871,709 taxpayers," he said, Monday, December 29.
He detailed that the number consisted of 8,982,299 individual taxpayers, 801,117 body taxpayers, 88,072 government agency taxpayers, and 221 taxpayers collecting Trade Through Electronic System (PMSE).
On the other hand, the total number of taxpayers who are required to report the 2025 tax year tax return in 2026 reaches 14.9 million. Thus, there are still about five million WP who have not activated the Coretax account. In fact, the tax return reporting period will begin immediately on January 1, 2026.
Starting next year, all annual tax returns will be required to use the Coretax application, so that each WP must first activate its Coretax account.
Rosmauli said that his party continues to encourage taxpayers to immediately activate the Coretax account so that they can fulfill the obligation to report the Annual Income Tax Return.
"We encourage it through employers. Then, we are also encouraged by the circular of the Ministry of Manpower and Transmigration SA07 to require all ASN and civil servants to immediately activate before December 31. Then we do socialization with associations," he said.
The reporting period for the Annual Income Tax Return for individuals is from January 1 to March 31, 2026. Meanwhile, the reporting period for the Income Tax Return for bodies is open from January 1 to April 30, 2026.
