Ready to be Disbursed, Bank Himbara Directly Visits Affected Residents of the Sumatra Disaster
JAKARTA - The State-Owned Bank Association (Himbara) will implement a "pick-up ball" scheme so that assistance is received by disaster-affected communities in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra without administrative obstacles related to the Housing Waiting Fund (DTH).
This step is aimed at ensuring that affected residents are not burdened by bureaucratic processes and immediately receive their rights.
In addition, this scheme ensures that the distribution of DTH reaches all eligible residents to accelerate the recovery of life in the affected areas.
This was conveyed by the Head of the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) Data, Information, and Communication Center, Abdul Muhari, at a press conference, Sunday, December 28.
The man, who is familiarly called Aam, explained that the government is recapitulating and adjusting the proportion between Temporary Housing (Huntara), Permanent Housing (Huntap), and DTH based on the level of damage to the house and the residents' choices.
According to him, not all residents whose houses were severely damaged or washed away were willing to move to temporary housing. Some residents prefer to receive DTH to live in or contract around their old location.
Abdul Muhari emphasized that all DTH and Huntara recipients will be verified using the data of the Ministry of Home Affairs' Dukcapil.
Thus, losing a KTP or KK will not be an obstacle. The verification process is carried out together with officers at the RT, RW, and district levels to facilitate administration.
