Agam Regency Records Disaster Losses of IDR 4.20 Trillion 

AGAM - The Agam Regency Government, West Sumatra, recorded a loss due to hydrometeorological natural disasters in the area reaching Rp. 4.20 trillion.

Head of the Agam Communication and Information Office, Roza Syafdefianti, said the losses were obtained from the impact of flash floods, floods, landslides and tornadoes.

"The losses are from the housing, infrastructure, economic, social and cross-sector sectors," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, December 29.

According to him, the losses were obtained based on data collection carried out by the relevant regional device organizations.

He said the housing sector with a loss of Rp1.59 trillion consisted of housing of Rp741.92 billion and environmental infrastructure of Rp855.60 billion.

For the infrastructure sector with a loss of IDR 2.23 trillion consisting of transportation of IDR 1.63 trillion, water resources of IDR 368.46 billion, water and sanitation of IDR 234.24 billion.

Meanwhile, the economic sector with a loss of IDR 341.80 billion consists of agriculture of IDR 189.51 billion, fisheries of IDR 74.89 billion, livestock of IDR 31.69 billion, plantations of IDR 23.30 billion, trade of IDR 20.60 billion and tourism of IDR 1.78 billion.

Meanwhile, the social sector with a loss of Rp20.76 billion consisting of health Rp600 million and education Rp20.1 billion.

In addition, cross-sectors with losses of Rp6.49 billion consisting of the government of Rp3.99 billion and the environment of Rp2.5 billion.

"This loss comes from the value of Rp2.36 trillion in damage and a loss of Rp2.71 billion," he said.

He added that the disaster hit the area in late November 2025 resulting in 163 deaths, 38 missing, two still being treated,

The official search for missing victims was officially stopped based on a letter and approval from the heirs, Monday (22/12).

The emergency response was extended from December 23, 2025 to January 5, 2026 to mature the preparation for post-disaster rehabilitation and reconstruction.
