List of 10 Indonesian Representatives at the 2026 Malaysia Open
JAKARTA - Indonesia will send 10 representatives to fight in the 2026 BWF Super 1000 Malaysia Open badminton event, which will take place early next month.
The Malaysia Open 2026, which is the first tournament in the BWF World Tour calendar next year, is scheduled to take place from January 6-11, 2026 at the Axiata Arena, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Indonesia sent representatives spread across all five sectors, consisting of two men's singles, two women's singles, three men's doubles, one women's doubles, and two mixed doubles.
From the men's singles sector, Indonesia sent Jonatan Christie and Alwi Farhan who are the gold medal winners at the 2025 SEA Games in Thailand this month.
Next from the women's singles sector, one of those sent by Indonesia is Gregoria Mariska Tunjung. The Paris 2024 Olympic bronze medallist was accompanied by Putri Kusuma Wardani.
The three men's doubles on the list are Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Shohibul Fikri, Raymond Indra/Nikolaus Joaquin, Sabar Karyaman Gutama/Mohammad Reza Pahlevi Isfahani.
From the women's doubles sector, PBSI only sent one representative, namely Febriana Dwipuji Kusuma/Meilysa Trias Puspitasari.
Then the other two representatives are the pair of Jafar Hidayatullah/Felisha Alberta Nathaniel Pasaribu and Marwan Faza/Aisyah Salsabila Putri Pranata.
Indonesia in the last two years failed to get a title at the Malaysia Open. The last Indonesian representative to climb to the highest podium there was the pair of Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto in the 2023 edition.
