Nataru Ticket Sales Reach 3.3 Million from 3.5 Million Seats
JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) recorded ticket sales during the 2025 Christmas and 2026 New Year Transportation period from December 18, 2025 to January 4, 2026 reaching 3,387,330 tickets until Sunday, December 28, 2025 at 08.00 WIB.
The sale of long-distance train tickets was recorded at 2,838,398 tickets, or 102.8 percent of the capacity of 2,761,048 seats.
Meanwhile, the sale of local train tickets reached 548,932 tickets, equivalent to 73.7 percent of the total 745,056 seats.
The occupancy of long-distance trains that exceeds 100 percent is due to dynamic passengers, namely passengers who get on and off between the initial station and the final destination station.
During the Christmas and New Year 2025/2026 Transportation period, KAI provided a total of 3,506,104 seats on long-distance train services and local trains to support the smooth mobility of the community, including tourist travel, family visits, and economic activities in various areas.

"KAI urges the public to plan their trips early and purchase tickets through the Access by KAI application to get the right schedule, route, and service options during the Christmas and New Year period," said KAI.
"KAI also provides a 30 percent discount on fares during this Nataru period, which is valid from December 22, 2025 to January 10, 2026, with a total of 1,509,080 seats prepared in the program," he said.
