Wirabraja Command Continues the Construction of Bailey Bridge and Aramco Phase Two
SUMBAR - The Military Regional Command (Korem) 032/Wirabraja, West Sumatra will focus on the construction of seven bailey bridges and five aramco bridges in phase two. This repair is aimed at a number of points on the road sections that were cut off due to flash floods and landslides.
"Currently we are in the planning stage of installing seven bailey bridges including five aramco bridges to help accelerate post-natural disaster recovery in West Sumatra," said the Commander of the Regional Command (Danrem) 032/Wirabraja Brigadier General (Brigjen) TNI Machfud in Padang City, launching ANTARA on Sunday, December 28.
Danrem detailed that the bridge will be built in Pasaman Regency, West Pasaman Regency, Agam Regency, Solok Regency and Padang Pariaman Regency. In Agam Regency, the TNI plans to target the installation of three bailey bridges, namely at the Aia Taganang Matur Bridge which connects the Batang Palupuah-Pasar Matur Road.
Furthermore, the Kubu Sarunai Canduang which connects the Koto Panjang-Batang Silasiah Junction Road, and the Rangeh Bayua River Bridge of Tanjung Raya which connects the Simpang Limau Hantu-Kampung Jambu Road section.
In Pasaman Regency, one bailey bridge will be installed on the Lasi River which connects the Muaro Tais-Kampung Tongah Road section. Then, one bailey bridge will also be built in Durian Kilangan Koja, West Pasaman Regency.
"The TNI will also build one bailey bridge unit in Muaro Busuak Solok Regency which connects Koto Hilalang-Selayo Village, and in Padang Pariaman Regency," he said.
In addition, Korem 032/Wirabraja also immediately built four aramco bridges on the Rangeh River in Nagari Bayua, Tanjung Raya District, Bancah Nagari Maninjau, Kampuang Jambu, and in Salimpauang, Malalak District, Agam Regency. Finally, one aramco bridge will be built in Kampung II Mahakarya, Sasak Ranah Pasisie District, West Pasaman Regency.
"For the first phase, we have managed to build four bailey bridges and are 100 percent operational," he said.
