LBH in South Sulawesi Receives Report of Alleged Malpractice, Insuring Beauty Clinic Related to Licensing

JAKARTA - The South Sulawesi People's Information Warehouse Legal Aid Institution (LBH LIRA) reported the owner of the Ressty Aesthetic Clinic beauty clinic after receiving complaints from the public who were victims.

The report related to the alleged violation of the practice license (SIP) was submitted by the person concerned to the Kolaka Police.

"There are already three victims who have complained to us. The victims are asked to complete supporting documents including the results of the forensic examination, to continue to the legal process," said Chairman of the Regional Leadership Council of LBH LIRA South Sulawesi Ryan Latief to reporters in Makassar, Saturday, December 27, quoted by Antara.

The report was made after his party conducted a cross-check on the irregularities of practice permits and reported suspected criminal offenses of violations of Law number 29 of 2004 concerning Medical Practice and Law number 17 of 2023 concerning Health.

According to him, the SIP given to the beauty clinic manager is a maximum of three practice locations, but from the clinic's search, there are more than three clinics and are spread across several areas such as Makassar City, Bone Regency to Kolaka (South Sulawesi).

One of the victims of alleged malpractice from Kolaka, a woman with the initials HA (38), when confirmed revealed that she had undergone aesthetic procedures on the nose at the clinic. He even paid Rp7 million. However, after undergoing the action of threading, his nose was not normal.

Feeling that the results were not optimal, the victim went to the clinic for the second time on November 29, 2025. Furthermore, the owner of the clinic, Ressty Aesthetic Clinic, was directly handled by the initials dr RAM to be repaired, although he was not charged, but the victim was offered to put on a lip filler for Rp. 1.5 million.

"I have reported this incident to the police in Kolaka to ask for accountability from the clinic. I have (aesthetic record) damage to my face, a crooked nose is not normal," he said via telephone to media crews.

Ryan revealed that from the search and confirmation from the Kolaka Health Office, the clinic was suspected of not having a formal operating permit. If that happens, then this clinic does not have the required safety, facilities and competence standards from the government and can be dangerous for people.

So far, the victim HA has undergone a visa to prove the alleged malpractice. As for the results, it will come out on Monday, December 29, 2025. In addition to being reported for alleged non-criminal offenses at the Kolaka Police, the victim also filed a civil lawsuit at the Makassar District Court.

The owner of the Ressty Aesthetic Clinic, dr RAM, when confirmed by reporters separately regarding the alleged accusations, did not give a reaction and only responded that he was on the umrah pilgrimage. "I apologize, I am currently focusing on the umrah pilgrimage," he said.
