Karawang Police Stop Five of Its Members in 2025

KARAWANG - Karawang Police dismissed five of its members dishonorably for allegedly committing serious violations throughout January-December 2025.

The Karawang Police Chief, AKBP Fiki Novian Ardiansyah, in Karawang Regency, West Java, Saturday, said the five police officers committed a serious violation which was considered to have injured the honor and integrity of the police institution.

For the past two years, he said, only in 2025 did the Karawang Police dismiss its members.

Meanwhile, in 2024, no member was subject to the sanction of dismissal without honor.

He said that the imposition of disciplinary sanctions for not respecting police officers in the Karawang Police was a step that must be taken to maintain the dignity and professionalism of the National Police institution.

According to him, every member who is proven to have committed a serious violation must be processed and dealt with in accordance with the applicable provisions.

The Police Chief said that discipline, responsibility, and work ethics are the main foundations in carrying out police duties. Without these, public confidence in law enforcement institutions will be difficult to maintain.

He hopes that through the firm step of dismissing five police officers with disrespect, it will be a reminder for all of its active members.

"This incident should be a reminder and a lesson for us to continue to maintain the good name of the institution," he said.

When asked further about the case involving five of his members who were dismissed dishonorably, the Police Chief only said that they were suspected of committing a serious violation. His actions were considered to have injured the honor and integrity of the police institution.
