Airlangga Optimistic National Spending Program to Boost Transactions to Reach Rp110 Trillion
JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto targets that the total transaction of public spending at the end of 2025 can reach Rp. 110 trillion through a number of national-scale spending programs.
He revealed that one of the flagship programs that is currently running is Belanja di Indonesia Aja (BINA), which was initiated by the Indonesian Association of Retailers and Shopping Center Tenants (HIPPINDO).
Airlangga added that this program was carried out at various shopping centers with a target transaction of IDR 30 trillion until January 4, 2026.
In addition, he said the government had also launched the National Online Shopping Day (Harbolnas) program with a target of around Rp35 trillion in transactions, as well as the Every Purchase is Cheap program.
"So by the end of the year we target between Rp110 trillion to be spent," said Airlangga when he visited Pondok Indah Mall, South Jakarta, on Friday, December 26.
According to him, various stores also provide discounts of up to 50 percent and cashback offers of up to 10 percent.
He said this policy is expected to increase people's spending interest as well as encourage economic growth.
"So that's what is being encouraged to make economic growth happen, hopefully people's spending can increase and leading up to this event, almost all malls are crowded," he explained.
Airlangga hopes that this series of programs can run smoothly and have a positive impact on national economic activities.
