Christmas Holiday, Commuter Line Jabodetabek User Mobility Reaches 724,536 Passengers

JAKARTA - The mobility of Commuter Line Jabodetabek users on Christmas holidays was observed to be safe and smooth. Where the volume of Commuter Line Jabodetabek users was recorded as many as 724,536 people.

VP Corporate Secretary of KAI Commuter, Karina Amanda said that the journey on Christmas Day was dominated by people who took advantage of the Christmas moment to go on vacation with their children and families or to visit their families.

"Based on operational data, the volume of users of the Commuter Line Jabodetabek on Wednesday, December 25, 2025, was recorded as 724,536 people. Meanwhile, the volume of users of the Commuter Line Basoetta reached 6,841 people and the Commuter Line Merak as many as 14,891 users," he said in an official statement, Friday, December 26.

Meanwhile, during the Christmas and New Year (Nataru) transportation period from December 18 to 25, the total users in the Jabodetabek area and its surroundings were 7,839,814 people.

"Or an increase of 8 percent compared to the same period last year," explained Karina.

On Christmas holidays yesterday, a number of stations around tourist areas and shopping centers recorded relatively higher user volumes. Bogor Station recorded 51,020 users who went up, followed by Tanah Abang Station with 37,985 users.

In addition, the Cikarang intermodal integration station recorded as many as 23,846 users who boarded, while at Rangkasbitung Station there were 15,744 people.

Karina explained that the distribution of user volume per hour on Christmas holidays began to increase in the time range from 09.00 WIB to 18.00 WIB.

In general, the Jabodetabek Commuter Line and Basoetta Commuter Line services on Christmas Day were relatively safe and smooth. KAI Commuter also ensures that all services operate optimally to serve the mobility of people celebrating Christmas.

"We continue to monitor and coordinate to maintain safety and services for users," said Karina.

Karina also appealed to all Commuter Line users to continue to comply with the rules that apply in the station area and during the journey.

"As well as following the instructions of the officers for the sake of safety and comfort in using this public transportation," he said.
