KPK Investigates Alleged Sergeant Who Received a Project in Bekasi as a Result of Selling People's Names

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is investigating the alleged contractor and suspect in the alleged bribery case, Sarjan (SRJ), to get a project in Bekasi Regency, West Java, by selling the names of important people.

"Is it true that there are alleged modes of such threats, yes, so that the element there can also be elements of extortion or other elements? Well, this will still be investigated," said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo, quoting Antara.

However, Budi said that the KPK is currently still focusing on the main issue, namely the alleged bribery of the project by Sarjan to the non-active Bekasi Regent Ade Kuswara Kunang (ADK), and his father named HM Kunang (HMK).

Previously, the KPK carried out the tenth hand-in-hand operation (OTT) in 2025, and arrested ten people in Bekasi Regency, West Java, on December 18, 2025.

On December 19, 2025, the KPK revealed that seven out of ten people were taken to the KPK Red and White Building, Jakarta, to be intensively examined. Two of the seven people included Ade Kuswara and his father, HM Kunang.

On the same date, the KPK announced the seizure of hundreds of millions of rupiah in a case allegedly related to a project bribe in Bekasi Regency.

On December 20, 2025, the KPK announced that the Regent of Bekasi Ade Kuswara Kunang (ADK), the father of the Regent of Bekasi and Head of Sukadami Village, South Cikarang District, Bekasi Regency, HM Kunang (HMK), and a private party named Sarjan (SRJ) as suspects in the alleged bribery case.

The KPK said Ade Kuswara and HM Kunang were suspects of receiving bribes, while Sarjan was a suspect of giving bribes.
