Police Inspect Churches in Johar Baru to Ensure Christmas Celebration Security
JAKARTA - The Central Jakarta Metro Police conducted an inspection of the implementation of Christmas worship at the Maranatha Church, Johar Baru, Central Jakarta, Thursday, December 25, 2025.
The Head of the Jakarta Central Metro Police, Kombes Susatyo Purnomo Condro, ensured that the congregation could carry out worship safely, comfortably, and with full devotion.
The Police Chief also checked the readiness of personnel at the Paris City Service Post (Pospam) which is part of the 2025 Lilin Jaya Operation.
"We are here to ensure that our brothers and sisters can carry out Christmas prayers calmly and with a sense of security. The National Police is committed to providing the best service so that the entire series of prayers until the New Year's celebration runs smoothly," said Susatyo.
Kombes Susatyo emphasized that the presence of the police at the place of worship was a tangible manifestation of the state in guaranteeing the freedom of the public to carry out worship according to their beliefs.
According to him, security is carried out humanistically by prioritizing public services.
"We not only guard, but serve. Hopefully, the congregation can worship diligently without worrying, and feel the presence of the National Police as a protector and guardian of the community," he said.
The Police Chief hopes that the Christmas spirit can strengthen brotherhood, tolerance, and togetherness in the midst of a diverse Jakarta community.
"May the Christmas peace bring coolness, strengthen unity, and strengthen diversity in Jakarta," he said.
The Central Jakarta Metro Police ensured that police services would continue to be improved during the Christmas and New Year 2025 holidays.
