Arus Nataru, Passenger Movement at Cikarang Station Reaches 347,058 People

JAKARTA - Cikarang is recorded as the busiest integration station during the Christmas 2025 and New Year 2026 (Nataru) Transportation period. The total number of passengers who boarded and disembarked at Cikarang Station reached 347,058 people.

The figure is an accumulation of movements since the start of the Nataru period, from December 18 to December 23, 2025.

VP Corporate Secretary of KAI Commuter, Karina Amanda explained that the surge in passenger movements occurred as the community's mobility increased during the year-end holidays.

"During the Nataru period, the passenger movement at Cikarang Station during the period from December 18 to 23, 2025, totaled 347,058 people who boarded and disembarked at this station," Karina said in a written statement, Wednesday, December 24.

Of the total, said Karina, as many as 256,427 people were users of the Commuter Line Jabodetabek. Meanwhile, the number of users of the Commuter Line Walahar/Jatiluhur was recorded at 75,599 people, and the number of passengers of the Long Distance Train who boarded and disembarked at Cikarang Station was 15,032 people.

Karina added that the high number made Cikarang Station an integration station with the highest user volume during the Nataru period. To maintain the smooth operation and service, KAI Commuter operates hundreds of train trips every day.

"At Cikarang Station, 281 Commuter Line Jabodetabek trips, 14 Commuter Line Walahar/Jatiluhur trips, and 36 long-distance train trips are operated daily," he explained.

The vital role of Cikarang Station as a link between the industrial area and commuter settlements with long-distance train services as well as local routes to Cikampek and Purwakarta also encouraged increased activity during the Nataru transportation period.

KAI Commuter also added personnel and ensured the readiness of supporting facilities in the station area.
