Flood again submerges Pidie Jaya Aceh
BANDA ACEH - The Pidie Jaya Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) reported that heavy rainfall hit the area, causing flooding to once again submerge the residents' settlements.
"The flood that hit dozens of villages in three sub-districts was caused by the overflowing of Krueng/Meuredu River," said the Head of the Pidie Jaya BPBD, M Nur, as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, December 24.
The overflow flood hit seven villages in Meurah Dua District, namely Dayah Usen, Mancang, Dayah kruet, Mns Raya, Blang Cut, Buangan and Menasah Raya.
Then the Meureudu District, Gampong Berawang, Menasah Lhok, Grong-Grong Beuracan and Tuha Mosque - Lhokga
Furthermore, the Bandar Dua, Gampong Juelanga, Gampong Alue keutapang, Paya pisang klat, Alue Mee, Babah Krueng, Blang Kuta, Drien Tujoh and Alue sane districts.
He explained that for the time being the joint team was on standby and the public had been asked to be in a safer location.
"We hope that the intensity of the rain will decrease so that the water that has flooded dozens of villages will soon recede again," he said.
Until this news was released, heavy rain was still going on and the water level in each village varied.
