DPD RI Member from Bali Criticizes the Ministry of Tourism, Not Quick to Respond to the Issue of Bali Being Empty of Tourists

JAKARTA - Member of the Indonesian House of Representatives from Bali, Dr. I Gusti Ngurah Arya Wedakarna believes that Bali's condition is quiet from tourists, both domestic and foreign during the Christmas 2025 and New Year 2026 holidays.

A number of videos and narratives about the condition of Bali which is empty of tourists circulated on social media. This was denied by the Governor of Bali, Wayan Koster to a number of media. In fact, he claimed to have data related to tourist organizations in Bali ahead of the Nataru holiday this time.

To VOI online, Tuesday, December 23, Arya Wedakarna explained that the quiet condition of Bali was due to a number of things.

In addition to garbage, there is also congestion and security which he considers to have received less attention from the local government.
