Prabowo is ready to risk his life to save state wealth
JAKARTA - President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto emphasized his commitment to safeguarding and protecting the wealth of the country from various looting efforts. He stated that he was ready to face anyone who tried to harm the country's finances for the benefit of the Indonesian people.
"When I talk about foreign power, I am laughed at, I don't care. For me, dying for the people is an honor," said Prabowo in his remarks while attending the State Financial Rescue Results Handing Over at the Attorney General's Office, South Jakarta, Wednesday, November 24, 2025.
However, Prabowo admitted that his firm stance often provoked ridicule, including when he alluded to the existence of foreign forces who did not want Indonesia to stand strong and independent.
However, continued Prabowo, he was not afraid of the mockery that was often directed at him because of his firm stance.
"I was elected, I was inaugurated by the Indonesian people, I will die for the Indonesian people. For me, dying for the people is an honor for me," he said.
On that occasion, Prabowo also expressed his pride in the PKH Task Force, which he called a "true warrior" and a patriot of the nation.
Because, for Prabowo, the PKH Task Force dared to uphold the truth in the midst of resistance and pressure from the looters of state wealth.
"Thank you for your courage, brothers, I think you are real warriors, you are patriots of the nation," he said.
Prabowo also likened the state to a human body, while the wealth of the state was likened to blood that sustains life.
According to Prabowo, financial leaks that continue to occur due to corruption and other illegal practices can weaken and even destroy the country.
"If blood continues to flow out little by little, the human body will surely fall ill and collapse. So is the state. When wealth leaks because it is robbed, manipulated through false reports, under invoicing practices, bribes to officials, and smuggling in and out of the country, then the country is difficult to survive," he said again.
Prabowo witnessed the handover of money from the state's financial rescue by the Attorney General's Office. Money worth more than Rp. 6.6 trillion was symbolically handed over by Attorney General ST Burhanuddin to Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, Wednesday, December 24, 2025.
The Attorney General, ST Burhanuddin explained, the total funds submitted amounted to Rp6,625,294,190,469.74 (trillion). Of this amount, approximately Rp4.28 trillion came from the state's financial rescue in handling corruption cases committed by the Indonesian Attorney General's Office.
"The funds consist of the results of the collection of administrative fines for forestry and the results of saving state finances from corruption cases," he said.
Meanwhile, the rest is the result of the collection of administrative fines by the Forestry Sector by the Forest Area Control Task Force (PKH).
The pile of Rp100 thousand bills filled the main lobby of the Bundar building, the Attorney General's Office.
