UMP Jakarta 2026 Not According to the Wishes of Workers-Employers, Pramono: We Believe Everyone Understands the Situation 

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has announced an increase in the DKI Jakarta provincial minimum wage (UMP) 2026 of Rp5,729,876. This figure is up 6.17 percent from the 2025 UMP of Rp5,396,761.

Pramono admitted that the nominal UMP next year was not in line with the wishes of the labor group and employers who had previously expressed it in the DKI Jakarta Wage Board meeting. This value was taken by the DKI Provincial Government as a middle ground.

"We believe that all parties will provide support and can understand the current situation and conditions, hopefully the decision taken has gone through a long process and considered various things from both the labor and employer sides," said Pramono at the DKI Jakarta City Hall, Wednesday, December 24.

In the results of the formulation of the UMP held by the Wage Council, the employer organization element proposed the use of an alpha value of 0.55 from the economic growth of DKI Jakarta to determine the amount of next year's wages.

Meanwhile, the trade union or labor union element proposed the DKI Jakarta UMP 2026 of IDR 5,898,511 or using an alpha above 0.9. This proposal is based on the results of the calculation of the minimum living standard (KHL) for the DKI Jakarta Province.

Meanwhile, from the government element, the DKI Jakarta UMP 2026 amount was proposed with the use of an alpha of 0.75 from the DKI Jakarta economic growth. This figure was used by Pramono in determining the UMP.

"In the PP, the alpha is set at 0.5 to 0.9. In the meeting of the Wage Council for discussion of matters related to UMP, it was decided that the determination of UMP 2026 was based on the alpha of 0.75. This UMP can be ensured to experience an increase and above the existing inflation in Jakarta," said Pramono.

"In the discussion, there must be a tug-of-war. I will convey it as it is and transparent. For entrepreneurs, at first they certainly survived with 0.5 and rose to 0.55, and they survived at that figure. Meanwhile, workers / workers, they want it of course above 0.9," he continued.

Therefore, Pramono asked all companies in Jakarta to comply with the UMP Jakarta 2026 decision and start implementing it in January next year.

"All companies in DKI Jakarta must implement it. If there is anyone who does not implement it, of course the DKI Jakarta government will give firmness to this matter," added Pramono.
