Rumors Of Buffon Going To Benfica, Agent: If They Call, We Will Be Interested

JAKARTA - Agent Silvano Martina said Benfica could be attractive for Gianluigi Buffon. But he confirmed that the Portuguese club had not contacted them.

The 43-year-old has announced he will be leaving Juventus when his contract expires this summer. He did not rule out moving overseas if the right offer arrived.

"Either I stop playing, or I find a situation that motivates me to play or have a different life experience," Buffon told beIN Sports.

The veteran has been linked with a move to Portuguese giants Benfica in recent days, but his agent has revealed it's just a rumor for now and nothing concrete.

"If Benfica called, we would be interested," said Martina to A Bola. "The idea could be good, but I haven't had contact with Benfica, not even with the middlemen."
