BYD Exports Soar, Target One Million Units by End of 2025 Closer

JAKARTA - BYD is predicted to reach an important milestone in terms of exports by reaching one million by the end of 2025, referring to data from the local department.

Quoting from the Carnewschina website, Wednesday, from data shared on December 23, BYD's passenger vehicle exports reached 128,067 units in November 2025, representing a dramatic year-on-year increase of 313.4 percent and a month-on-month growth of 59.9 percent.

From January to November 2025, BYD has exported 878,498 vehicles, showing an increase of 144 percent compared to the same period last year. This performance has more than doubled BYD's total export volume for 2024.

While Chery maintained its position as China's leading vehicle exporter in November with 135,190 units shipped overseas, BYD quickly closed the gap, taking second place in monthly export rankings.

Strengthen international markets

BYD has achieved market leadership positions in various international markets. In November, the company led new energy vehicle sales in Brazil, Turkey, Italy, Spain, Hungary, and Croatia. It also topped the overall brand sales in markets including Singapore.

In fact, in Indonesia BYD claims to have controlled 57 percent of the BEV market share in the country through BYD and Denza, with sales figures promising.

Meanwhile, BYD has now surpassed Tesla in sales in eleven major automotive markets by 2025, including major European countries such as the UK, Germany, Italy, Spain, Austria, and Ireland, as well as Asian markets including Malaysia, Turkey, Singapore, Thailand, and China.

As of December 2025, BYD's new energy vehicles have reached 119 countries and regions around the world. The company recently celebrated another milestone on December 18, when it produced its 15 millionth new energy vehicle, becoming the first automaker to reach this figure.
