List of Most Loved Singers in South Korea in 2025, IU to aespa
JAKARTA - K-Pop may be global, but all of that is inseparable from the support of the people of its country of origin, South Korea, to get appreciation until now. Gallup Korea conducted a survey of the public regarding their fondness for Korean musicians.
They distributed the survey into two age groups. First from the age of 13 to 39 years and 40 years and above.
The open survey was conducted on 5,148 people divided into two groups. They were asked to name three singers or groups that were in the spotlight this year.
Singer IU still has the highest place for Korean people. Her name is included in two age categories where she is ranked first for the 13-39 age group and seventh in the 40-year-old group.
Unlike IU, trot singer Lim Young Woong ranked first for six consecutive years for the 40-year-old age group. Another name that ranked second in the group was solo singer Hwang Karam. He ranked 9th in both age groups.
In the second order of the young age group, BLACKPINK, aespa, and IVE followed behind IU. It is known that these three groups are actively promoting this year. NewJeans, who did not release any music, is still in fifth place. As is BTS behind him.
Other soloists who occupy this order are G-Dragon and Rose BLACKPINK who occupy the 7th and 8th ranks. The band DAY6 is the only band to enter this list in 10th place.
Unlike the younger age group, the list of singers or groups loved by the Korean public is dominated by trot genre singers. They are Lim Young Woong, Jang Yoon Jung, Lee Chan Won, Young Tak.
From the song category, JUMP from BLACKPINK is in first place for the 13-year-old group as well as I Am a Firefly from Hwang Karam for the 40-year-old group. Other BLACKPINK members, Rose with the song APT and Jennie with Like JENNIE are in second and fifth place.
Interestingly, APT's song is also in fourth place for the 40-year-old age group, indicating that this song really dominates South Korea.
