Residents of Aceh Tamiang Brimob Public Kitchen Beneficiaries Decrease, the Police Reveal the Cause

ACEH - The field kitchen belonging to the National Police Brimob in the area of the Kuala Simpang Islamic Center, Aceh Tamiang, is experiencing a decrease in beneficiaries.

When it was first established, two weeks ago, according to the Commander of the Field Kitchen Team of the South Sumatra Regional Police, AKP D. Wawan, the number of food requests could reach 500 servings per day, but now it has decreased to approximately 300 servings per day.

This is not because the limited menu is rice with egg lauk and sardines fish rice, according to Wawan on Tuesday, December 23, this is because residents affected by the disaster in Aceh Tamiang have received a lot of food assistance, even there are residents who can cook themselves.

Still according to Wawan, there are still a number of residents who take their rice, while they cook their own lauk.

In addition to the communal kitchen, the National Police's Brimob also deployed a water treatment vehicle to meet the refugees' and volunteers' drinking water needs.

In a day, the water treatment unit is capable of producing up to 16 thousand liters of drinkable water, with a capacity of around 200 liters per hour and operated for 20 hours each day.
