Dewi Perssik Reveals Account Allegedly Spreading Edited Video about Aceh Floods

JAKARTA - Singer Dewi Perssik vented her anger on social media after a video clip from her live broadcast was edited and circulated with a narrative that triggered misunderstanding.

In the video that has been manipulated, Dewi Perssik is accused of not showing sympathy for the flood disaster that hit Aceh.

Not accepting the accusation, the artist who is familiarly called Mami DP immediately gave a hard clarification through his personal Instagram account. He confirmed that the video that was circulating was the result of a piece that was deliberately made to lead to negative opinions.

"AlhamduliDewi Perssik (Instagram @dewiperssik9)

While re-uploading a clarification video from a TikTok user who understood the context of his speech.

"Whose job is it to cut videos and spread hoax?" he continued in a furious tone.

Dewi Perssik regretted the actions of irresponsible individuals who took advantage of the situation to attack her.

"There is no sudden wind that hits the nyerang," he added.

Not stopping there, Dewi Perssik's anger escalated when she found one of the accounts that was allegedly the initial spreader of the edited video.

He directly pointed to the Instagram account @cutbul_asli, which he said had cut and edited his video for personal gain.

In a different upload, Dewi Perssik shared a screenshot of the account and wrote a message that was shocking.

"This is one of the people who allegedly cut my video edit, why is it that people are confused, ckck, istigfar mba @cutbul_asli, don't make it a disaster for personal and political interests, mba," he wrote.

Previously, it was suspected that Dewi Perssik's live broadcast video had been cut by irresponsible people. In the edited video, Dewi Perssik seemed to compare the fate of flood victims in one area with another area.

"You are still mending Aceh with the same... the President three times. We are Lumajang, Jember have not been mended yet. But it's not noisy. Yes, Mount Semeru," said Dewi Perssik in a video clip that went viral.

"Try... yes at least... at least if you don't give energy to the victims of disasters, at least donate. If you don't have money, use your fingers for the good. Not even... not even divide the people, slander the President," he concluded.
